Owen Morgan is a Portfolio Manager in Fixed Income at Cumberland Investment Counsel Inc. (“CIC”) and formerly NCM Asset Management Ltd. (NCM), CIC’s affiliate. He joined NCM in 2015 to manage the fixed income holdings in NCM’s mutual funds. Prior to NCM, he underwrote and managed Canadian and U.S. middle market leveraged loans with a U.S. bank where he spent 9 years honing his fundamental credit analysis skills. Mr. Morgan has over 21 years of investment industry experience.

Owen Morgan focuses on fixed income, particularly investment grade and high yield corporate credit.  Currently, he is Portfolio Manager for Kipling Strategic Income Fund and the Cumberland Income Fund strategy. He also provides support for the income portions of the NCM Income Growth Fund and the NCM Global Income Growth Fund, maintaining consistency across our income-oriented mandates.

He holds a Masters of Business Administration from NYU Stern and a Bachelor of Arts (Economics) from Bishop’s University, and is a CFA® charterholder.
