Christie Matwee has been a Portfolio Manager with Cumberland Private Wealth Management Inc. (“Cumberland Private Wealth”) since 2009. She is responsible for managing discretionary investment portfolios for clients, along with new business development, with a focus on Toronto and its surrounding areas, including South Western and Eastern Ontario, among other areas across Canada.

Prior to Cumberland Private Wealth, Ms. Matwee was Vice President, Investment Banking at Morgan Stanley in New York City where she provided advice on mergers, acquisitions and financing to healthcare companies.

Prior to that, she worked in Venture Capital and Private Equity at the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan and in Equity Research at Merrill Lynch Canada.

In addition, Ms. Matwee has served on the boards of various registered charities, most recently having served two three-year terms on the board of Tapestry Opera, Canada’s largest and most influential contemporary opera company, including her role as Board Vice-Chair.
