Charles Sims is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Cumberland Partners Limited (“CPL”) and its subsidiary Cumberland Private Wealth Management Inc. (“CPWM” ) , Director of CPL, and Chairman of Cumberland Investment Counsel Inc. (“CIC”) and CPWM (collectively “Cumberland”). Charles Sims is responsible for Cumberland’s overall business operations and strategic direction. Mr. Sims has been involved in the investment industry since 1989, working in Canada, the United States, Europe and Asia.

Prior to Cumberland, Mr. Sims was with the Templeton organization in Canada, then Franklin Templeton in California, and more recently with IGM Financial Inc., as Co-President and CEO. He also served as Chairman, President and CEO of Mackenzie Investments. He is a founder and chairman of The V-42 Foundation and is a director of the CAA Club Group of Companies.  He is a past director of the Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital Foundation and a past member of the board of governors of Upper Canada College and a past director and chairman of the Investment Funds Institute of Canada, a former member of the Leadership Council for the Toronto Financial Services Alliance and is a past director and chairman of FundSERV Canada.
