Derek VanGenderen is a Portfolio Manager at Cumberland Investment Counsel Inc. (“ CIC ”) with a focus on US and International markets Mr. VanGenderen leads the Kipling Global Enhanced Growth Fund and assists with the Kipling Global Enhanced Dividend Fund.

Mr. VanGenderen began his career in 2015 with Perron Asset Management as an equity analyst. Prior to joining the firm, he held an internship position at one of Canada’s leading independent investment managers while earning a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from the University of Calgary. He is also an alumnus of the Calgary Portfolio Management Trust at the University of Calgary.
