Jonathan Cornish CFA
Jon Cornish is a wealth advisor on the Perron & Partners team at Cumberland Private Wealth Management Inc. He is responsible for continuing existing client relationships, expanding the current business and holistic, goal-oriented financial planning for Cumberland Private Wealth clients.
After an unmatched, Hall of Fame career as a Calgary Stampeder, where he was only the second football player to win the Lou Marsh Trophy as Canada’s top athlete, Mr. Cornish spent the last 6 years at a major Canadian bank, working as an consultant and as part of a private investment counsel wealth team. He is excited to move to an independent, employee-owned firm where he can provide true unbiased advice and solutions to clients. Jonathan is a CFA Charterholder and a lifelong learner, currently working towards the completion of the CFP program, deepening his breadth of investment and planning knowledge.
An active member of the community, Mr. Cornish currently serves on the board of the Doc Seaman Hockey Fund for the Calgary Foundation, is an ambassador for the Alberta Children’s Hospital and works directly with at-risk youth at Wood’s Homes. In addition, he is the game day ambassador for the Calgary Stampeders. He is a graduate of Psychology from the University of Kansas. Although he grew up in Vancouver, he has called Calgary his home since 2007.
