Gerald R. Connor
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Connor has been Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Cumberland since founding the firm, together with three partners, in 1997. He is responsible for the firm’s overall investment policy, its operations and its strategic direction. He also has responsibility for managing a significant base of clients to which he brings over 40 years of investment experience. Prior to Cumberland, Mr. Connor was a founding partner of Connor, Clark & Company, Connor Clark & Lunn, and 20/20 Investment Management, which collectively managed over $16 billion for high-net-worth clients, pension plans and mutual funds. Before that, he managed discretionary funds at Baker Weeks of Canada and headed the Canadian operations of Francis I. DuPont and Co. Mr. Connor was a director of the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Foundation in Toronto for 14 years, and director of Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre for 2 years.

Peter Jackson HBSc, MBA, CFA
Chief Investment Officer, and Lead Manager, Canadian Equities
Mr. Jackson is Cumberland’s Chief Investment Officer. Mr. Jackson has been a Portfolio Manager at Cumberland since 1999, with overall responsibility for Canadian equities. He also manages the Cumberland Total Energy Fund and the Cumberland Special Opportunities Fund. Mr. Jackson is a member of Cumberland’s investment committee. Prior to Cumberland, Mr. Jackson managed a private investment partnership that acted as a sub-advisor for Elliott and Page Investment Counsel. Previously, he was a Portfolio Manager and Investment Analyst at Barclays McConnell and Sun Life, respectively, with a focus on Canadian equities stock selection and research. Mr. Jackson has over 25 years experience in the investment management business. He is a director and shareholder of Cumberland Partners Limited, the firm’s parent company.

James A. Goar LLB, MBA, CFA
Investment Analyst, U.S. Equities
Mr. Goar has been an Investment Analyst at Cumberland since 2006. He is responsible for US equity and is a member of Cumberland’s investment committee. Prior to joining Cumberland, he was a portfolio manager with the O’Donnell Group of Mutual Funds and Mu-Cana Investment Counseling (now Legg Mason Canada). With over 25 years in the investment business, his primary focus has been Canadian and US equities. Mr. Goar is a shareholder of Cumberland Partners Limited, the firm’s parent company and is a CFA charterholder, has an MBA and a Law degree.
Linda Lebrun CFA
Investment Analyst
Linda Lebrun is an Investment Analyst at Cumberland, with responsibility for research and analysis of U.S. and Global equities. She is a member of Cumberland’s investment committee. Prior to Cumberland, Ms. Lebrun was a research analyst at a Toronto brokerage firm, covering industrial products and special situations companies. She has over 8 years of investment industry experience and is a CFA charterholder. Ms. Lebrun is a shareholder of Cumberland Partners Limited, the firm’s parent company.

Steven Hall CFA, MBA
Investment Analyst
Mr. Hall is an Investment Analyst at Cumberland, with responsibility for research and analysis of Canadian and U.S. equities. He is a member of Cumberland’s investment committee. Prior to Cumberland, Mr. Hall was an investment analyst for U.S. equities at a Toronto-based investment counseling firm. He has over 10 years of investment experience in investment research, sales and trading. Mr. Hall is a CFA charterholder, and obtained his MBA from the Schulich School of Business at York University in 2002. Mr. Hall is a shareholder of Cumberland Partners Limited, the firm’s parent company.

Richard Schulte-Hostedde CFA
Portfolio Manager, Fixed Income
Mr. Schulte-Hostedde has been an Investment Analyst at Cumberland since 2008. He is involved with all aspects pertaining to research and analysis of fixed income and income-generating investments, and is a member of Cumberland’s investment committee. Prior to Cumberland, Mr. Schulte-Hostedde was an analyst at an independent equity research firm, covering emerging market financial institutions. Previously, he worked in sales and then as an analyst for the balanced fund mandate at AGF Funds. Mr. Schulte-Hostedde has over 12 years of investment industry experience and is a CFA charterholder.
Sukyong Yang CA, MBA, CFA
Portfolio Manager, Global Equities
Ms. Yang joined Cumberland in 2009 as the firm’s global portfolio manager. She has a diverse experience in portfolio management and comprehensive knowledge of global equities. She is a Chartered Accountant and has a Chartered Financial Analyst designation. Before joining, Ms Yang had her own portfolio management company, Concordia Capital, where she managed money for high net worth individuals. Prior to establishing Concordia Capital, Sukyong managed international equities for institutions and private clients as a partner at KBSH Capital Management. She began her investment career at Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan Board as an analyst specializing in financial institutions, energy and utility sectors. In addition to two decades of experience in the investment management business, she spent a number of years as a Consultant and Auditor at KPMG in their Amsterdam, Seoul and Toronto offices.
